
In 1921, The Prince of Wales (later Edward V111) made Fair Isle pullovers and vests a popular fashion item.
Recently, I became excited at the popularity of knitting, particularly amongst the young, who socialize through knitting groups and websites. I thought there was no better time to start a yarn retail business.
My aim for Urban Knitters is to pass on my passion for knitting, and a sense of accomplishment in pursuing a traditional craft. At the same time, the need for individualism in clothing choices can be achieved by adding a “unique” knitted piece to your “fashion” wardrobe.
Urban Knitters provides all the necessary tools to feel that sense of accomplishment through our luxurious natural fiber yarns, accessories, service and knowledge, inspiring environment, and a fashion forward approach to a craft that is centuries old.
